Biskra University was chosen to host the launch of the awareness days of student sports decision. Therefore, the great lecture hall witnessed on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, the launch of this event, in the presence of the University Rector, Mr. Mahmoud Dababeche, the university staff, managers, as well as students and teachers. Guests attended, as the representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Azzedine Rabika, the Director of Youth and Sports of Biskra, Mr. Nabil Hadid, the representative of the People's Wilaya Assembly, as well as Mr. Riad Boukhbala, member of the Joint National Committee for the Promotion of University Sports.

The guests of the university made statements about the event underlying the relevance of applying Resolution 205, enacted to promote university sports. They also had a tour during which they stood on the various sports structures and facilities of the University. They attended the start of the regional qualifiers for collective university sports in the multi-sports hall. The event began with the speech of the of the University Rector, showing the efforts deployed to promote university sports, referring to the students’ prizes won through participation in various sports locally, regionally and nationally. He recalled the great importance of the university support through hosted and organized tournaments in various sports disciplines. He called for continuing to develop sports practices in the university community and working together to revive it, to create elite of athletes.
