On December 13, 2023, Biskra Wilaya Directorate of Fisheries and Aquaculture, with Agriculture Department organized the First National Forum on “Freshwater Aquaculture The University Rector, the Director of Fisheries, the Director of the Scientific and Technical Research Centre for Arid Areas, the Director of the National Institute of Agricultural Research, the Director of Agricultural Services, the Director of Irrigation, and the Director of the Liaison Office between the University and institutions attended the event.

 In his opening speech, the Forum President, Mr. Ayoub Hadjeb, stressed on to the importance of this investment in the development of the national economy. The Director of Fishing, Mr.
Salahedine Oudhainia, thanked the Rector for organizing this scientific event, with gratitude to the project Pro agro ambassadors.
Mr. Mahmoud Dababeche in statement focussed on scientific research, education programmes, knowledge exchange, innovation and technology, guidance and consultations in aquaculture, pointing to the need to include training days followed by partnership agreements.
