Monday, December 11, 2023, the curtain fell on the works of the National Forum on the
Arabic Language attended by Biskra University Rector, Mr. Mahmoud Dababeche, university
officials and guests. The Forum Chair, Mr. Noureddine Zemmam, stated the event outputs and
recommendations, as follows:

- Make the forum an international one embedding Arabic language and science.
- Use the Arabic language rational, technical and methodological aspects in school and
university curricula.
- Open up to foreign languages scientific research knowledge with national Arabic
instruction.
- Call for university research publications in Arabic on a specified university platform.
- Join laboratories’ efforts and value the Arabic research field.
- Establish the International Arabic Language Day celebration in Algerian universities
and research centres.
- Devote institutional, financial, and educational attention to translation for better status
of Arabic in our universities.
- Contribute to periodic updating of the Arabic dictionary in various sciences and
propose it to concerned institutions.
- Found a research centre of science history directed by the Ministry of Higher
Education and Scientific Research.
Then, the University Rector made the official closing announcement, stressing the status of
the Arabic language cannot be limited only to poetry and arts, but extends to include all
knowledge and exact sciences, worth noting this event organizing partnership with the
National Office of University Publications.
