Biskra University hosted, on 10th April 2025, an informative meeting on the President of the
Republic Award for Innovative Researcher first edition, attended by teachers and research
students. Prof. Salim Bitam, the University Vice-Rector organised the meeting, and made a
detailed presentation of the participation conditions and qualifications, the required files, and
how to deal with the digital platform.

The participation is open to individuals, research groups, to submit applications at the level of higher education institutions. The prize, created
by Presidential Decree no. 24-297 of 24 September 2024, will be awarded on the celebration
of the Students’ Day on 19 May 2025. It is open to eight different research fields, with three
prizes for each category, combining a legislative nature and a financial reward, and facilities
at several levels and aspects of research, development and production. The meeting’s end
opened door for discussion and dialogue with the attendees who raised and provided the
necessary clarifications on all participation details. Biskra University reiterates its invitation
to all researchers to participate in this pioneering national initiative.
