On 10th April 2025, Biskra University Rector, Pr Mahmoud Debabeche, chaired the
University Scientific Council meeting held in the Directorate with its members.

In his opening speech, the Rector stressed the mid-term importance of different education stages evaluation
and the need for continuous monitoring to ensure education quality improvement of academic
performance, and the importance of coordination and integration between the various
scientific and pedagogical bodies for a smooth academic season. The meeting dealt with first
and second level pedagogical training, doctoral training, new training offers, doctoral
competition results, internships and other agenda items. It discussed the research laboratories
evaluation results and a follow-up of the institution’s ranking promotion and other
miscellaneous points from improving the University’s performance to enhancing its scientific
status.
